Feeling Better
Hi - Tom here...
Well, sorry for not updating recently, but I have been ill - tummy upset, so have been at the guesthouse most of the time. Im feeling better now though as nurse/pharmacologist Helen prescribed me some pills.
We went to the source of the nile yesterday, and also to Bujagali (think thats right) falls, which was prettty amazing. We loved being by the water, and i realised how much I missed it after living by the sea for a year and a half - its probably the Viking in me! We stopped at a hilarious service station which is far more exciting than boring Moto ones in the Uk - we pulled up on the side of the road to these big huts where lots of people in purple uniforms were standing. Then as we pulled up the people literally sprinted (Formula 1 Pit stop style) up to our minibus laden with chicken on sticks, bananas, nuts, water and other goodies. The others knew what was coming, so had their windows shut or open only a crack. I however was sitting in the front passenger seat with my window open and got the full onslaught of things thrust into my hand, and twice, chicken thrust into my face (really - on my nose/forehead). Iwent on an Atkins style chicken fest which was v.tasty, while John, sitting behind me, casually took his time ordering his food through my window, prolonging the hustle and bustle in my lap. The falls themselves were very impressive - not high drops, but vast quantities of water, and you could feel and hear their power.
I only have 4 more days here and then back to the UK...am sorry to go, but I tend to feel abit homesick after a few weeks away from Blighty, so am really looking forward to getting home as well.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY MUM, 30 TODAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! LOOKING FORWARD TO SEEING YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Sorry to hear you've been a bit dicky, keep your chin up though old fella. I greatly enjoyed the stuck in the front of the minibus story, would loved to have been in the van behind you, probably would have an ordered you more than a few bits of chicken.
Have you found/been attacked by any interesting bugs yet?
